What I Learned in Multimedia

There were many things I learned in my multimedia class. I was able to learn how to use software like Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Premier Pro. For Photoshop CS3 I gained skills like fixing broken images, changing, and editing images like changing color and saturation. Photoshop made me able to make plain pictures into detailed beautiful pictures. The last thing I did for Photoshop was doing animations. While doing animations I learned how to use keyframes, and I learned other types of animations in it. For Adobe Premier Pro I learned how do edit and make videos. It's almost the same thing as Windows Movie Maker. The differences is that you can have affects for the audio, and you can put animations in the video. It also has better transition effects. In Adobe Premier Pro I just put a bunch of pictures using tons of frames. I also put audio in my videos. The only difficult part of the projects for Premier Pro was finding and making the images for it. I wish to continue my studies in anything that has to do with video and Photoshop.

Reflection Journal #5

1) The idea for my animation was to advertise for my karate school, Shotojuku.

2) The tween option can add or change a series of keyframes in between two other keyframes.

3) The important thing to know about the first frame when editing an animation is making sure that there's a keyframe so that the animation can have a starting point.

4) Some limitations to making an animation in Photoshop is that you cant change the text from size to size. Another thing you can't do in the animations for Photoshop is that you can't change the text's color to another color. Another thing you can't do is you can't morph pictures like in After Effects. Another thing you can't do in Photoshop is making extremely complex 3-D animations like the movie "Transformers".

5)Steps I can use to make it look like an image is shrinking in Photoshop is by using the frame animation instead of the timeline animation. For each frame I make, frome left to right I decrease the image's size. Large to small. So when I play the animation the image will look like its shrinking. To make an image look like its growing I just do the oppostie. From left to right, I increase the image's size for each frame. So when I play it the image will look like its growing.

LB5 Lloyd Hembrador P1

In this project I used photoshop to animate an advertisement for my karate school. In this project I used opacity, position, and style animations.

LB15 Lloyd Hembrador P1

For this project I learned how to use animations using Photoshop. I start off by going to Windows and click animation so I can start of the timeline. We also learnded about parts of the timeline like the frames and the layers. The thing we animated was text. I had to make initaials of my name which is L.K.H., and the first letter of the month I was born which is may. So there would be the letter "M." First I had to seperate them all at the beginning of the animation. Then by 3 seconds I had to make all of the letters come to together and to fade in at the same time. To do that I Had to use the opacity animation, which shows how visible something is, and the poition animation so I could change the positions of the text. After they all appeared I made them fade out slowly by changing their opacity to 0%. When they all dissapear I have to make them reappear and make them blink 3 times by the 5th second. I do this by changing their opacities anb putting the keyframes near each other. Keyframes are like indicators telling you where the animations start and end. After they blink I had to change their styles. I did that by changing the layer styles of the layers. I just added shadows and glows to the text so they look more attractive instead of looking boring and plain. For the last animation all I had to do was to distort the text by using the text warp by using the text tool. After that's done I made a descent animation, and it looks very nice.

I could use animations on photoshop for a lot of reasons. One of them is using them for advertisements. With the animations I can make an advertisment attractive so the viewers can be impressed by the animation. At the same time I also have to give importanat animation so the viewers can understand the advertisment. Fancy animations are useless if they advertisement is meaningless. Animations con also make the viewers convinced about the advertisement so they would believe the information about the advertisement.

ANIMATION!

Animation is a special way of showing the motion of pictures by showing constant frames of pictures. Some animation can fit in a different amount of frames of pictures per second like 15 or 30 frames per second. Animation is also very difficult because it can take for ever just to make 5 minutes of animation weather it's 2-D or 3-D. 3-D will take the longest becuase it had more detail and shape compared by 2-D. Another type of animation besides 2-D and 3-D is stop motions. I find stop motions very amusing. Stop motion animation are pictures you took in real life like a transformers toy , and start putting it on frames just like on 2-D or 3-D animations to make the toy look like it's alive. People can also add effects to stop motions like lazer affects or explosion affects wthout or with using a green screen. The type of animations I would like to learn is 2-D, 3-D, and stop motion animations. Why? It's becuase cartoons, 3-D movies, and stop motions really fascinate and entertain me. 2-D would be first, 3-D would be second, and stop motion animation would be last. Animation has been and still is a big part in our lives becuase we've seen many movies or with 2-d animation like pokemon, 3-D animations like Transformers, andstop motions like Coraline or The Night Before Christmas. Learning animation can also get you a lot of money becuase you could work for big companies like Pixar animations or any other famous companies that deal with animation.
